| I believe you are just guessing on the matter. I went out side a took some measurements and there seems to be enough room. Also if these where ever going to be made ( Prob. Not ) im pretty sure the makes would make sure a clamp could be attached. Vband clamps a pretty strong, it you have had a problem with them maybe a defective or china ( AMS ) made unit?!?!?! If it was me making these, with the concerns you made. I would make a " Exhaust hanger " type of thingie to attach to the back side of the compressor housing using 1 or 2 bolts to the manifold. Wouldn't be made out of rubber but something to hold the weight of the turbo.
I know most people have removed the AIV's. There's a bolt hole under the car, I would utilize to hold the exhaust as well with a custom bracket. These are just what came to my head, pretty sure there are better ways. Just gotta think out side the box.
